How to play
- The board is a cross of 33 points. The Fox starts in the middle, and the geese fill the bottom three rows. The Fox moves first.
- The Fox moves one step up, down, left or right to an empty point, or jumps over a goose next to it onto the empty point right behind it, capturing that goose. It may keep jumping in the same turn, and can stop whenever it likes. Captures are optional.
- The Geese move one goose one step forward (up) or sideways to an empty point. They can never move backward and they can't capture. Stay close together: a goose with another goose or the edge behind it can't be jumped.
- The Geese win by surrounding the Fox so it can't move. The Fox wins by capturing so many geese that fewer than six are left, or if the geese run out of moves.
- If nobody makes progress for a long time (no goose steps forward and nobody is captured), or the same position comes up three times, it's a draw.
